Why Join the Wisconsin Builders Association

Industry News

At R-Value Insulators (RVI), we’re proud to share that Ashly Hartmann, our co-owner, has been named the Associate Vice President-Elect for the Wisconsin Builders Association (WBA)!

As a subcontractor, we’re honored to be recognized at such a prestigious level within the association. This role represents the highest achievement available for our membership category (subcontractors). It’s a testament to her dedication and hard work, requiring attendance at all annual meetings, group gatherings, Board of Director meetings, and additional planning sessions.

Being part of the executive committee allows Ashly to contribute significantly to the direction of the association. Part of that, of course, is recruiting new members and making other builders and subs aware of the work WBA is doing.

So – let’s talk about it!

What Does the Wisconsin Builders Association Do?

The Wisconsin Builders Association is a professional trade organization that benefits the construction industry across the state.

Advocacy

One of its primary roles is advocacy and engaging with state legislators and regulators to shape favorable laws and reduce unnecessary regulations. This advocacy supports policies that will keep Wisconsin construction strong.

National Presence

The WBA also maintains strong communication with the National Association of Home Builders. This collaboration facilitates the exchange of information, resources, and support, amplifying the influence of local builders on a national stage.

Networking

Networking is another essential aspect of the WBA’s mission. It brings together builders and associate members, fostering relationships that lead to business growth and collaboration.

Resources

The WBA also emphasizes education and training, offering a plethora of programs, workshops, and resources to keep members updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices. This commitment to professional development helps cement the association’s role as a cornerstone of the construction community in Wisconsin.

Why Should Builders and Subs Join?

For many in the industry, operating as a small team can be challenging. The WBA is designed to support independent operators and construction companies of all sizes by providing essential resources and support. One of the greatest benefits comes from access to templates and forms that streamline operations, including human resources documents and construction contracts.

Membership with the WBA is a three-in-one package! It includes local, state, and national-level benefits. This comprehensive membership opens doors to even more resources, training, and networking opportunities, extending beyond Wisconsin.

Another significant advantage is the WBA’s partnership with a law firm that offers legal assistance. Members can use services like a free legal hotline for advice and next steps on complex issues. Plus, regular presentations at meetings keep members informed on legal updates, ensuring they stay compliant and protected.
