Sam and Ashly Hartmann, owners of R-Value Insulators (RVI), joined over 81,000 home-building professionals at the 2025 International Builders’ Show (IBS) in late February. It was truly a spectacle of innovation and opportunity!
IBS is hosted by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), and this year, we got to go to the Las Vegas Convention Center. Here are our highlights from the event:
2025 International Builders Show Overview
As you can see from this highlight video, it was a high-energy event. We learned that IBS enjoyed a record-breaking turnout with more than 81,000 attendees, making it the largest in 17 years. This event is designed for residential construction professionals, including builders, contractors, remodelers, developers, and other industry professionals.
Attendees included 1,800+ exhibitors spread across 728,000 square feet. We certainly got our steps in, exploring all these booths! It was a fantastic opportunity to immerse ourselves in cutting-edge building technologies and products.
RVI’s Highlights from the Show
IBS 2025 allowed us to dive deep into the building industry’s latest trends and innovations, particularly when it comes to building science and how insulation plays an important role. We are a small fish in a big pond, at the IBS show, but it’s important for us to keep up with everything going on in the building industry.
Sam geeked out in the New Product Zone and also met extensively with a scaffolding and stilts supplier. We can’t wait to introduce some of these new products and technologies into our business. Our favorite exhibit was one by Murphy Door (“the hidden door experts”)!
The very first night, we enjoyed a Meet and Greet Mixer with Small Business Growth Partners (SBGP), which has provided business coaching for RVI. We got to attend this mixer as prior coaching clients. Since this was such a massive event, the SBGP mixer was an excellent opportunity to network with a much smaller group.
