Rhinelander-area natives Sam and Ashly Hartmann have been working with builders and homeowners to make homes in Northern Wisconsin more comfortable since 2000. Drawing on Sam’s career in custom home construction, the couple saw an opportunity to improve the energy efficiency and sustainability of both new and existing homes in this harsh climate using a whole-home building science approach to air-sealing and insulation technology.

Working with Madison-based Focus on Energy, RVI quickly became known as building science experts, dedicated to educating homeowners and builders about modern insulation options and installing those new technologies for increased energy efficiency that improves overall home performance and comfort.
